Deplorable American Values

So-called American values have done more harm to more people worldwide over a longer duration than any other nation in world history – a legacy of endless wars of aggression, predatory corporate empowerment and post-9/11 tyranny, nothing to be proud of.

Not for former Vice President Joe Biden, a deplorable character throughout his years of public disservice.

Biden: “…America’s ability to lead the world depends not just on the example of our power, but on the power of our example.”

“…American democracy is rooted in the belief that every man, woman and child has equal rights to freedom and dignity…(W)e have never given up the struggle to grow closer to the ideals in our founding documents.”

“…America does not simply protect its own interests, but tries to advance the aspirations of all. This has stood as the foundation of American foreign policy…”

Fact: Democracy in America is pure illusion. The founders created a nation to be run by and for its privileged class exclusively, more so today than ever.

Fact: American interests continue inflicting enormous harm on millions of people at home and abroad. Throughout his years in Congress and as vice president, Biden was part of the problem, a scoundrel throughout his time in public office.

Biden: America “trie(d) advanc(ing) the aspirations of all…until recently…President Trump keeps longstanding allies such as Germany at arm’s length, while expressing admiration for autocrats like Vladimir V. Putin who thwart democratic institutions.”

Fact: True enough, Trump earlier slammed Merkel’s immigration policy, absurdly saying it could be “the end of Europe.”

Fact: He likely genuinely wanted improved relations with Russia, then surrendered to dark forces controlling him, transforming himself into a powerless figurehead president.

Fact: Putin governs democratically, polar opposite the way America’s system works – democracy for the rich and powerful, no one else.

Biden: Trump “casts global affairs as a zero-sum competition – for the United States to succeed, others must lose.”

Fact: It’s largely been the American way since WW II, brief periods alone perging from the trend, undemocratic Dems as irresponsible as Republicans, Biden one of the bad guys.

Biden: “Mr. Trump’s shameful defense of the white nationalists and neo-Nazis who unleashed hatred and violence in Charlottesville, Va., further abnegated America’s moral leadership. Not since the Jim Crow era has an American president so misunderstood and misrepresented our values.”

Fact: Trump blasted both sides. I quoted his remarks verbatim in an earlier article.

Biden: His “order to rescind Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)” was deplorable.

Fact: True enough along with banning travel to America from targeted Muslim countries.

Biden: “Placing American democratic values back at the center of our foreign policy does not mean we should impose our principles abroad or refuse to talk with nations whose policies run counter to them.”

Fact: Biden backed every US war of aggression waged. He supports ruthless Israeli oppression of Palestinians. He was involved in a failed US coup attempt to topple democratically elected Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Fact: He endorsed US-installed Nazi-infested putschists in Ukraine. He’s militantly pro-war, pro-Wall Street, pro-corporate empowerment, anti-peace and stability, anti-Russia, anti-Iran, anti-governance of, by and for everyone equitably.

Biden: US “foreign policy built on our values must stand firm against foreign powers that celebrate a perceived withdrawal of American leadership as an opportunity to increase their influence.”

“Without the United States standing as a bulwark for global democracy, illiberal powers like Russia will take increasingly aggressive steps to disrupt the international order, bully their neighbors and return to a more pided world.”

“They international community…needs a strong, democratic America leading the way.”

Fact: America is a hegemonic bully, global state terror its modus operandi.

Fact: Washington “stand(s) as a bulwark for” tyranny, not democracy it rejects at home and abroad.

Fact: If America was governed like Russia, world peace would replace endless wars of aggression, mutual cooperation fostered instead of rage for dominance.

Biden: “(T)he United States (is) the greatest nation on earth.”

America’s rage to control planet earth may destroy it.
