Trump’s Deportation Suggestion Will Fix America’s Dysfunctional Migration System
Trump suggested on Twitter that illegal immigrants should be immediately deported upon capture.
According to the President, “When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came”, which is being framed as a “hardline” approach to border security despite it being the most sensible from a processing perspective. As Trump tweeted last week, “If you don’t have Borders, you don’t have a Country!”, which reaffirmed his commitment to undoing the Liberal-Globalist legacy of his predecessors and hinted at the proposal that he would make just a few days later in attempting to fix the completely broken immigration system that he inherited.
This stalled and often-abused process had hitherto allowed millions of illegal immigrants to flood into the country as part of a de-facto “deal with the devil” that was implicitly reached between the Democrats and Republicans. The Democrats would grow their permanent underclass of future voters while the Republicans would receive cheap labor for their companies in a win-win for the elite that ultimately proved to be a lose-lose for the American people, some of whom were forced out of their jobs and had no choice but to live in increasingly dangerous communities.
The Obama-era policy of “catch and release” saw the authorities releasing detained migrants so long as they promised to show up at their court dates, which very few of them actually did, thus creating a massive backlog of court cases that made the system more dysfunctional than ever. Trump, however, implemented the so-called “zero tolerance” policy that enforced existing law by requiring the authorities to hold all migrants who were caught illegally entering the country, though this provoked the Liberal-Globalists’ weaponized infowar narrative about children being kept in so-called “concentration camps”.
In response, the Trump Administration promulgated a masterfully written Executive Order so full of conditionals that it essentially doesn’t change anything in the existing policy at all despite appearing on the surface to do so in placating the “opposition”, with the notable exception being that it orders the government to prioritize all migration cases. This, when paired with Trump’s tweet about immediately sending illegal immigrants back where they came from without going through lengthy court processes, forms the basis for a comprehensive border security strategy.
The whole point of streamlining the US’ processing of illegal immigrants is to send a message to these individuals that “there’s a new sheriff in town” who doesn’t approve of them abusing the so-called “rule of law” to indefinitely remain in the country until Congress one day grants them all “amnesty”, and it looks like it’s working. Even Reuters was forced to acknowledge that migrants are now “knocking at the front door” by applying for “asylum” at official border crossings instead of sneaking into the country and making their claims only after they’re caught in an effort to delay their extradition.
The demonstration effect of a law-and-order President visibly prioritizing his country’s border security policies will serve as a powerful deterrent against illegal immigration, with the Democrats’ fake news campaign about “concentration camps” inadvertently playing to Trump’s advantage in this sense. While it might not immediately seem like it to some, Trump’s no-nonsense approach to this issue is the only hope remaining for fixing this broken system and reforming it into something much more effective and fair for everybody, including the American citizens who have been victimized by their government’s previous acceptance of these “Weapons of Mass Migration”.
